Marsh Harbour was just a short trip, a few hours across the banks. Keeping a sharp eye on the depth and course, we made it, no worries.
Marsh harbour is the commercial center for the Abacos. The Abacos is a group of islands in the northern part of the Bahamas. With a population of 6000 they have lots of supplies, parts, hardware and groceries, and we hit most the stores. OK, enough geography.
While in Marsh Harbour we did get supplies. An anchor for “Little Nipper” our dinghy, wire, parts and groceries. After a few days the upgrades were done, provisions stored, and we were off to Hope Town.
Hope Town is the cutest little town in the Bahamas. Brightly painted shops, homes, restaurants. The roads are very narrow and most people walk some use golf carts.
