22 Hurricane watch

As you probably know we are holed up here in Grenada because it’s hurricane season.

This is not like baseball, hockey or fishing season, but more like forest fire season in Canada. We hope to stay out of the line of fire.

Erin getting our attention

We are keeping a close eye on the Atlantic ocean and have just watched Erin pass by north of us. This was the first hurricane we saw that could have been a threat. We are happy it missed us, and praying it misses other populated areas as she travels north west.

Exhale, looks like we are safe. Thoughts are with others in her path.

Well being south of Erin we have very light winds, calm seas. Yes, ideal snorkeling conditions. We are going to a reef today and really looking forward to this. Sequoia has mastered getting in and out of the water using her raft. She’s not snorkeling yet, but will keep you posted on her progress.

She actually gets in little nipper easier than I do.

If we do spot a hurricane coming towards us what will we do? Good question. We will head further south, to Trinidad. Trinidad is about 100 Nm. south.
