The haul out day really sneaks up fast, it goes from being months away, to weeks away to it’s tomorrow in what seems like 3 days.
We weren’t scheduled to be hauled out until 1:00PM, so started lifting the anchor around noon. This time it came up perfectly, which is typical, but one never should assume too much.
Anchor up, and so just hovered around until it was time to head towards the dock yard. We were there on time, and were hauled out with no issues, as you can see below.

They set the boat up in the yard and it was ready for the work to begin.
We decided to stay in an apartment 2min, walk from the boat. This was a great move, with the air conditioning etc. in the suite. The boat in the yard gets no wind, and lots of heat.

Cathie was able to travel back to Calgary for a week and visit our daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law while the boat was out. Cathie had a great time catching up with them. They spent the week playing all kinds of games and hanging out.
Sequoia and I would put in a few hours in the morning on the boat, until it got too hot. Then back to the apartment for some AC, then into little nipper and off to hog island for some beach time.

It wasn’t long until Cathie was home, and it was time to splash Catnip.

Yes Catnip did float, but we were not getting cooling water on the starboard engine. We were able to clear the slip and make our way over to the dock with just port engine. Then a few minutes later I had the impeller inserted correctly and the cooling water was flowing.
After getting back on board, we had itchy feet, and wanted to go for a sail. We had a great trip down to Morne Rouge bay. Catnip sailed great and really seemed to come alive with her clean bottom.
